I am in love with Etsy's current front page...

It makes me swoon.

I seriously want everything on it!!

Sausage Rolls

I decided to diversify...that treats included picnic food!!

I love sausage rolls. They may be slightly nasty and, yes, you never really know what is in them...but they are yummy, moorish and go with lemonade and a picnic basket like nothing else out there ;)

I am really pleased how this turned out...and Billy tried to eat it. Bless!

Next stop...scotch eggs...watch this space...

Scone with Raspberry Jam & Clotted Cream

I love scones...fresh out of the oven and smothered in butter, raspberry jam (with seeds naturally) and thick clotted cream...mmmmm.....

Whilst they are foremost in my mind as an afternoon tea staple, the most wonderful afternoon tea I ever had in The Ritz in Paris contained none...so it obviously a British fascination ;)

And since my felt food shop is called "British Cream Tea" and announces itself as being the home of British felt food items I needed a scone...don't you think??

I am going to be working on lemon curd and strawberry jam versions.....

It took 3 goes to get enough cream in the swirl to truly fit the scone ;D

Christmas Pudding

I know, I know...it's only September...

...but I couldn't resist ;)

I have plans for Christmas Cookies and other items too....I am sooooo looking forward to Christmas this year ;D

Purple Party Rings....and a food treasury

I love party rings!!

they may be overly sweet, worryingly crispy and much much smaller than they used to be...but I have a soft spot for them ;)

So this morning I sewed one.

The purple one with yellow squiggles.

Complete with the lines baked into the bottom that I used to try and eat along as a child (yes...I know I was odd!!)

And now I have partly complete party rings all over the dining table...there are 5 colours in all so I am aiming for a set!!

yum yum.

And yesterday I managed to bag an etsy treasury...and filled it full of felt food.

Not such a good marketing strategy methinks, concentrating on and highlighting other people's felt work, but I couldn't resist!!

Babbas and bells

Toby started reaching out for toys a couple of weeks ago and is starting to grab things...so I wanted to make the hanging birdies and elephants on his bouncy chair more immediately enjoyable. They do squeak and crunch when squeezed but I think it will be a while before he is able to really grab them and squeeze them hard enough so I thought of bells...

...so yesterday I bought little packets of tiny silver bells and this morning I sewed them to the animal's tails...and he loves them ;)

Now onto the pram toys!

Cherry Bakewell Tart

After making my Cornetto, which took hours and was a true labour of love, I vowed to do no more sewing last night...

...but then I got caught watching a 9/11 documentary, got depressed, cried a bit, then went to look at my sleeping son, pushed aside the urge to wake him up for a hug and then got out the felt.

Needle therapy ;)

I love the cherry and the fluted pastry against the white icing.

I have more tart ideas now!!

Cornetto Classico

Billy came home with a box of 6 cornetto classicos last week. Vanilla ice cream, crunchy chocolate lined cone with a hidden surprise, chocolate topping and chopped nuts...divine.

So I had to try.

The cone took hours of hand embroidery to get the square quilted pattern just right and then working out the cone dimensions, peaking the top of the ice cream and whipping the french knot "nuts"...

...but I think it is worth it!!

Now for the mint and strawberry flavours!!
